Project Honeymoon - Day 5: Waiheke Island

"Asian Porridge" - Decided to try the asian fare at the hotel's buffet breakfast this morning.  Since when is "Asian Porridge" not made with rice?  I can't even tell what kind of grain they used.  And no soy sauce...sigh.  At least I really like the apple juice.  It's more pulpy than the kind we have back home.

Nix Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic Encounter & Underwater World - It seemed like a must-do until we found out the $33/person admission didn't get us very much.  The concierge told us we'd only need about 30min-1hr there.  When we research more about it online, we also discover one of their main attractions is under construction.  Online reviews are also varied...anywhere from "lame" to "great".  We decide not to bother.

Ferry to Waiheke Island
- Nice ride across the water.  The trip is 40 minutes from downtown Auckland.  Coincidentally a round-trip ticket is $33/person...the same price to go to Kelly Tarlton's.  We have lunch on the island on a seaside patio and a quiet walk on the beach.  It's a relaxing day after all.

I buy something! - Couldn't resist picking up a merino wool shrug while at Whaiheke.

My hand gets admired - Receiving a lot of compliments on my henna tattoo.  It's pretty hard not to notice.  I'm happy it turned out well.
